Uncensored mode

When and how to use the 18+ route.

Uncensored mode routes your request to a model with fewer content restrictions. It's built for adults writing mature fiction, roleplay, and frank discussion of difficult subjects that general-purpose models tend to refuse or soften.

Who can use it#

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You must have accepted the Terms of Service.
  • It's available on every plan, including Free.

What it allows — and doesn't#

Uncensored mode relaxes content filtering. It doesn't change the law or our Terms. Never permitted, in any mode:

  • Sexual content involving minors, in any form.
  • Content that facilitates serious harm — weapons capable of mass casualties, attacks on critical infrastructure.
  • Content that targets, harasses or sexualizes real, identifiable people.
  • Anything else that's unlawful where you or we operate.

Violations can lead to account suspension.

Turning it on#

In the workspace, turn on Uncensored in the model picker before you send a message.

Over the API, set config.uncensored to true on a chat request:

JSON
{
  "text": "Continue the scene from where Mara opens the letter.",
  "attachments": [],
  "config": { "model": "medium", "modes": [], "uncensored": true }
}

How it differs#

  • One model for every tier. Uncensored requests use a dedicated model whether you choose Flash, Medium or High. The tier still sets the token rates you're billed at.
  • Same history controls. Uncensored chats are saved and deleted like any other — or use Temporary Chat to keep them out of your history.
